Nestled in the heart of medieval Cork lies a community boatyard, whose ripple effect has been felt by the people of Cork for almost thirty years. ‘Meitheal Mara – The Voyage’ tells the story of this boatyard and of the people who have passed through its gates and in doing so tells a story of craftmanship, of resilience, of transformation and of community. ‘Meitheal Mara – The Voyage’ was produced by Frameworks Films in collaboration with Meitheal Mara and funded by Coimisiún na Meán.
